Hotel and Travel

Sleeping rooms are not being held in a room block. You are required to contact the hotel of your choice and make your own reservations. Please see the Hotel Information page on this Web site for a list of area hotels close to the Fishers Lane Building. In addition, you are responsible for making your own travel/flight arrangements. You are responsible (through your grants) for payment of hotel, meals, travel, and ground transportation.

Security

There is no security at Fishers Lane. You can enter the building and take the elevator down to the meeting rooms.

Parking

There is a public parking lot on Fishers Lane. The cost is $6/day.

Lunch/Refreshments

You are on your own for lunch and refreshments. The cafeteria (Café Gallery) at the Fishers Lane Building is open from 7:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.

Other Transportation

Metro Subway

DCA is the only area airport with immediate access to the Metro subway system. The Fishers Lane Building is located on the Red Line of the Metro at the Twinbrook Station. From Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, proceed to the Metro level (up two escalators) and take the Blue Line toward the Addison Road-Seat Pleasant Station. At the Metro Center Station, transfer to the Red Line in the direction of the Shady Grove Station. You may also take the Yellow Line from DCA toward the Mt Vernon Sq 7th St -Convention Center Station and transfer to the Red Line toward the Shady Grove Station at the Gallery Pl-Chinatown Station. Exit the Metro at the Twinbrook Station (5 minute walk estimated). Take the East exit out of metro station. Turn right onto Parklawn Drive towards Twinbrook Parkway. Turn left on Twinbrook Parkway. Take your first right onto Fishers Lane. 5635 is the first building on the left. Amtrak

Take the Amtrak train to Union Station, Washington DC. At Union Station, you may access the Metro subway's Red Line. Take the Red Line toward the Shady Grove Station. Exit the train at the Twinbrook Station (5 minute walk estimated). Take the East exit out of metro station. Turn right onto Parklawn Drive towards Twinbrook Parkway. Turn left on Twinbrook Parkway.
